5-12yrs

Our weekly groups are aimed at primary children, supporting them with confidence building, friendship groups and having fun in a safe space. They will have the opportunity to discuss issues and day to day thoughts and feelings with group mentors. Youngsters will take part in ‘community activities’ (KIKAS/Saltburn in Bloom/Friends of Saltburn Valleys) and build up achievements leading to incentives, such as trips out and other ‘rewards’.

12-17yrs

Acting as support to TeesstrHive CIC staff, our ‘teens’ will work alongside the older members – to build a knowledge of teamwork, working with young people and gain experience that would look great on a CV at the same time.

17-21yrs

Looking for experience whilst having the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from the ‘3rd Sector’. Offering opportunities for paid work and a training programme, TeesstrHive can be a great ‘stepping stone’ to further employment or you might just stay with us !!!

#Vagabonding is an activity aimed at young people from ages 5-11 that takes place in Saltburn woods and beach. It will promote a sense of the Mental Health/Wellbeing benefits of spending time amongst peers in an outdoor setting.  Focussing on positive outlooks, team building and raising aspirations ‘TeesstrHive CIC’ will use it’s experience and resources from previous projects to help youngsters build confidence in the community and amongst peers.  Developing an understanding of the wider world, as well as their own community, children and youngsters will learn through interaction to build confidence and gain new skills.
